Multiple secret service men were injured and the
president was hit, none proved to be fatal.
The picture depicts the true chaos
and sense of terror that all were experiencing
while still showing the organization of
the secret service agents in order
to protect the president.

This photo was taken during the Los Angeles riots
that occurred following the trial of the police officers
who brutally beat, unarmed African American man,
Rodney King. They faced no repercussions for their
heinous acts sparking outrage in the community.
The massive amount of smoke billowing from the
residential areas shows the turmoil the city
was experiencing and represents the frustration many
Americans had with the blatant corruption and prejudice
of the United States justice system.

popular in various art forms. The gaudy studded, purple
